Survey on Egyptian Bloggers - Help Needed

As part of my LSE Masters program, I am in the middle of researching for my thesis which looks at new media, such as online blogging, in Egypt and its role, presuming that there is one, in inspiring or shaping the country's political reform processes.

I am in need of members of the general public to fill out a survey that I have prepared - nothing too formal and will take no more than 15 minutes to fill out. You may remain anonymous should you wish to do so. If you have read Egyptian blogs, or if you are an Egyptian blogger, or if you are interested in this topic, PLEASE do get in touch with me on my email address: emanebed@gmail.com .

Other comments and questions are also welcome. The deadline to fill out the survey is Monday, 16 July 2007.

funny, I have just blogged about pretty much the same issue - i.e. my dissertation on Web 2.0 and international NGOs, and the survey I sent out to about 300 NGOs to gather data!

hope you're ok. I am home with a bug, but hopefully will be up and running by tomorrow. would be great this time to meet up and chat properly.

a big hug

That's cool. It's funny because it's the almost the exact same topic I'm interested in studying for a Masters, except with Russia instead of Egypt. I didn't know they had courses like that at LSE. Good to know!

Alberto - interesting comment on your blog from the NGO who seems to be unconnected with development!! but I suppose it goes to show that blogging and like isnt for everyone..

Laura - To be honest, the LSE isnt a very tech-saavy university.. it depends on the program you decide to go for.. There arent any courses in my dept on this area, so have a look at the media-related courses instead.. I am probably the only one in my dept who is doing this sort of thing. You may also want to research in advance to see if writing on this topic in Russia is a viable option. Feel free to email me when you apply and I would be more than happy to give you a few tips as I have been at the school now for 2 years!
